Based in London, co-owned by the members of Senser, Imprint Music aims to work on all levels with its artists, handling all aspects of the artist's business. We will record & release music, publish the songs, produce merchandise, book tours and generally work with our artists to tell the world and ensure they can make a living from music.
By receiving a share of income from many different sources we are less reliant on recorded music sales and can therefore utilise recorded music as a marketing tool to build artists' profiles. We believe that this strategy is much more suited to the internet age than traditional record companies. We want fans to pass songs on to friends. Music sharing is a fact of life in the 21st century and we’re not afraid of it. Some record companies are suing fans for sharing music… What the fuck is that all about??!
If you like the music, come to the gigs, buy a shirt and feel free to buy a CD if you want one! It makes sense for fans to support the bands they like because otherwise the bands can't survive. We think that if people like our artists they will support them and the bands will have careers, regardless as to whether you let your mate rip a CD or email a track to someone you think will like it.
Imprint say, go ahead, spread the word.
